Tilefield Nature CIC is a community nature organisation based near Brockenhurst in the New Forest offering practical, inclusive opportunities for people to spend time outdoors, connecting with nature, learning new skills, and taking part in activities that support improved health and wellbeing.

Tilefield’s 14-acre site includes gardens, meadows, ponds, hedgerows, and areas managed for wildlife with regular opportunities including wildlife and nature activities, ecological gardening and horticulture, practical conservation, creative outdoor activities, citizen science, volunteering, and workshops exploring the natural world.

Tilefield Nature CIC works with adults, young people, families, and community groups including those who may find accessing conventional outdoor activities more difficult, offering activities that can be adapted to different levels of confidence, experience, and physical ability with a welcoming, practical, and hands-on approach so people can take part, learn, and contribute to real projects, spending meaningful time in a supportive outdoor environment.

    • These are opportunities to take part in useful outdoor work such as habitat creation, pond and meadow management, hedgerow care, and other practical conservation tasks.
  3. Citizen science and wildlife recording
    • Tilefield Nature CIC offers supported opportunities to observe, identify, and record wildlife contributing to real monitoring and conservation projects.
  4. Creative nature activities
    • Nature-based arts, crafts, and practical workshops are on offer that use natural materials and the outdoor environment as a starting point and inspiration.

  • Tilefield Nature CIC’s activities take place across a 14-acre rural site near Brockenhurst with a mix of outdoor spaces and indoor facilities – including an indoor training room, kitchen, and toilet facilities.
  • Activities can be adapted for different physical, sensory, and communication needs and seating and quieter spaces can be provided where needed.
  • Some areas of the site have uneven natural ground, so we encourage people to contact us in advance if they have specific access requirements. Further information can be provided relating to parking, site access, and transport options before a visit.
